Departure from Barcelona at 19:40 on a flight to Casablanca. Arrival expected around 20:55, depending on the season and any time change. Connection with the Casablanca – Errachidia flight at 23:30. Arrival in Errachidia around 00:30. Airport pickup and transfer to Erfoud, known as «The Gate of the Desert». Accommodation at Kasbah Xaluca, considered one of Morocco's most singular kasbahs.

Erfoud, gate of the Sahara
Erfoud is the last large enclave before the Erg Chebbi dunes. Its mix of palm grove, medjool dates and Devonian fossils makes it unique in Morocco.
Kasbah Xaluca
Built in adobe following traditional architecture, the kasbah is an oasis with pool, hammam and Berber courtyards — the perfect base for enduro days.

Errachidia
After breakfast, meet your guide and first contact with the bikes and the terrain. We start the route across desert tracks, sand rivers and varied terrains ideal for off-road riding. The route takes us to the north of the Erg Chebbi where we stop for traditional Moroccan tea. Picnic lunch in Merzouga. In the afternoon we ride around the sea of dunes while the guide teaches techniques and instructions to become familiar with sand riding. Return to Erfoud. Dinner and accommodation at Kasbah Xaluca.

Small nomadic village in the north of the Erg Chebbi, hidden among palm groves and traditional wells.

The palm grove, green and endless amid arid mountains, was a beautiful surprise. A true oasis.

Erg Chebbi
After breakfast we resume our motorbike adventure to keep discovering desert landscapes. We visit the famous «German Monuments», works by artist Hannsjörg Voth set in raw desert. We then continue to the historic Jorf wells — an ancient Persian irrigation system whose underground tunnels can be explored. The route continues to the «Mummy mountain». Picnic lunch in Rissani — we recommend visiting its traditional market, one of the most authentic in southern Morocco, where desert tribes and nomads come to stock up. The famous «donkey parking» is a curious sight. In the afternoon we continue to the Erg Chebbi for a night in an authentic bivouac of camel-hair tents in the nomadic style. Dinner and night under the stars to the rhythm of the tam-tam.

Khettaras are a Persian-origin irrigation system brought to Morocco in the 14th century. They enabled agriculture in the Tafilalet for centuries.
Rissani market
Heir to ancient Sijilmasa, the Rissani market keeps its famous «donkey parking» and is the meeting point of the Saharan nomads.
The Erg Chebbi dunes and the night at the camp were the best of the trip. The starry sky is simply indescribable.

Jorf Khettara Wells
Today is a true Dakar-style day. Sand, dunes and more dunes accompany us all the way as we cross hidden oases in the heart of the Erg Chebbi. Arrival in Merzouga and picnic lunch at Kasbah Tombouctou. In the afternoon we keep riding on the Merzouga salt flat until returning to Erfoud. Free time to relax after several days of motorbike adventure. Enjoy the pool, the jacuzzi, or an optional traditional Moroccan hammam with massage. Dinner and accommodation at Kasbah Xaluca.

Seasonal salt flat west of the Erg Chebbi. In spring it draws thousands of pink flamingos from the Mediterranean.
